Personal Development, Personal Growth

Finding My Why

On social media today, I shared some exciting news! I received an email from Amazon that I was approved for their Amazon Associates Program! For those of you who aren’t familiar with what this means, it means every time you use a link that I provide to Amazon I receive a very small percentage for bringing traffic to their website. Even if you don’t buy the item that I link, as long as you don’t close that tab and continue to shop through my link, I will get credit.Β I can’t see what you bought, only that an item was sold and the percentage. I am not a large blogger by any means so to be approved for this program means the world to me and not just because I’ll get credit or a small percentage, which of course is pretty cool too!

The reason I’m so excited about this is because people are being introduced to personal development because of things I’ve shared (books, podcasts, people, etc.), which will change their lives! People are trying healthy recipes I’ve shared (on the blog and social media), which helps them to live a healthier life. People are connecting in groups I’ve created (Ladies In Pursuit and Feed Your Mind Book Clubs), which is helping them to get as much out of personal development as they can AND teaches them that they aren’t alone! And now THIS… people are buying products that I’ve share that help them become the best version of themselves (fitness gear, personal development books, etc)… THAT is why I do this! That is my WHY! To help people become the best version of themselves.

It took me so long, a lot of prayers, and A LOT of second guessing myself, to finally figure out my why! This year was not easy for me when it comes to my mental health/physical health due to my thyroid issues and it took a toll on me. I almost stopped this blog all together because I wasn’t sure that it was what I wanted to do, I lost my why, and now, I found it again!

I am so beyond grateful for all of the support I’ve received here and on social media!! I tend to second guess myself for sharing everything that I do but this week alone has reminded me exactly why I’m doing what I am and sharing as much as I do! This is the reason I put myself out there to be judged and open my heart to the world. Don’t for a second think it is easy being this vulnerable! I do it so that others know that they’re not alone and to help people in areas that it took me YEARS to learn, and still am!

I’m not excited about being approved for the Amazon Associates Program just because of the money, I’m excited about it because it PROVES to me that people are taking steps to improve their lives because of what I’M sharing! It’s the reassurance and sign I needed to keep going!!! People don’t spend money on things they don’t intend to use and I’m so happy that they are finding these items because I shared them!

Thank you, thank you to everyone who has shown support not by just used my links but through your comments, your likes and follows on blog posts, yourΒ πŸ’—’s and messages on social media and everything else! I appreciate it all more than you know!

Thank you!!

xoxo – Katie

This will bring you to the Amazon homepage and I’ll get credit for anything you purchase.Β I can’t see what you bought only that an item was sold and the percentage. Thank you to those who use my link, it means so much to me!!
